Kat Barnard - Founder, Senior Stylist & Master Colourist

Kat, founder of Flock, is a master colourist/stylist who’s spent her career in leading salons in London, New York, and Sydney.
With a career spanning twenty years and three continents, Kat Barnard started her career at the age of sixteen as a colourist in Sydney. Her passion for London prompted a move there, and she found a home at the iconic Tommy Guns Soho. Here, Kat gained a reputation amongst the London music scene and cut the locks of Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown, and coloured Aussie artists Sia and Alison Goldfrapp.
New York came calling, and Kat was given the opportunity to work in the Big Apple at Ludlow Blunt on the Lower East Side. Here, she built a diverse clientele in media, music, and fashion.
Wanting to further her skills and expand her knowledge Kat made the move to ION Studio, a ‘go to’ salon in Manhattan’s SoHo. There, she learnt from the best in the business, perfecting her techniques for seamless blondes and freestyle ways of cutting. With these skills, she was lucky enough to have amongst her clientele the amazing models Lyndsey Lullman and Anja Konstantinova, truly cementing her reputation for beautiful blondes.
Kat founded Flock Hair in 2022 with the desire to create a relaxed and warm co working space. Somewhere that feels like home.
Kat is the master of less is more when it comes to hair. specializing in lived in cool hair that suits your natural hair ,texture and attitude.
DJ (Djahmu) - Sylist & Colourist

Djahmu (DJ) has 5 years hairdressing experience and a foundation in visual arts
He the move from the Sunshine Coast to Sydney to further his career and broaden his horizons. DJ had the privilege of learning from the best in the business working in one of Sydney’s finest salons… Here!
When he’s not twirling hair in the salon, DJ is busy immersing himself in the underground music and fashion scene where he loves expressing himself through shoots and music videos.
DJ is super fun and professional with a meticulous eye for detail and incredible taste. His love for fashion and creating the best look for you and your lifestyle really shine through.
Sadé Webb - Senior Colourist

Sadé is Sydney-born and bred.
Not only is she super friendly and professional, but she has also worked in some of the best salons in Darlinghurst and Woollahra, managing and conducting staff education.
Sadé loves hair transformation, especially a grey hair transition. She’ll take coloured hair back to natural grey while keeping your hair happy and healthy the whole way.
She also loves hand painting to enhance your natural colour. After your new colour, you will feel fabulous with her killer blow-dry.
Come and see Sadé Wednesday to Saturday.
Alana Dunphy - Senior Stylist & Curly Hair Queen

From fine arts to makeup, then travelling overseas to be a part of the wig team for Cats the Musical, Alana's creative side has been there from the beginning!!
Alana has worked for major salons in both Surry Hills, Paddington and Woollahra.
She has been lucky enough to be sent for education and to work on fashion shows in both Sydney and New York.
She worked with Goldwell/ KMS for 5 years as a cutting educator and, more recently, has had the opportunity to teach her own curly cutting seminar, WCC Wavy Curly Coily.
Alana is very passionate about having an inclusive, safe space for everyone.
She is constantly learning as she believes it is her job to be able to service any person with any hair texture to the highest standard that sits in her chair.
Alana is renowned for her curly hair skills and dry cutting, but she is actually a whizz at all hair types and textures. And if you let her, she will give you a killer pixie cut!
She also loves colour, but not all colour, lol, so her tint brush will touch only the lucky few.
